Chambers Management


The management of our Members’ diaries, court appearances, events and the general day to day running of Chambers is handled by our approachable and welcoming team. We provide a professional, courteous and accommodating service and work hard at maintaining and strengthening Chambers’ reputation as a leading centre of excellence in all areas of Family & Civil law.

The nature of our business means that there are often unforeseen changes and developments in cases. Should this happen we are swift to react and will do so without inconveniencing our clients or first time callers, delivering a smooth and effective service at all times.

We value the personal approach and all of our team are well equipped to discuss past, current or potential cases with instructing solicitors and give honest advice as to the most appropriate counsel to use and we are able to tailor this to the specific needs of each individual case.


Clerk
Courtney Thomas - Clerk

Courtney joined Northampton Chambers in 2019 as an apprentice. After successfully completing this, she now works as a Clerk in our close-knit team, and continuously builds on her knowledge and skills to help the continued growth of the business.

She is responsible for diary management, developing members’ practices, negotiating fees, public access and client relationship management to ensure an efficient and positive experience is provided.

Outside of work Courtney enjoys spending time with family and friends, and is a competitive Ballroom and Latin Dancer, regularly placing in premier medallist competitions.

Fees Clerk
Iain Pettitt - Fees Clerk

Iain joined Northampton Chambers in 2015

He is responsible for preparing and submitting Legal Aid fees on CCMS including Very High Costs cases and fees in private cases. Iain brings an attention to detail in his billing, enjoys problem-solving when issues arise, and discussing the technical aspects of Legal Aid billing.

Outside of Chambers Iain likes writing, playing board games and spending time with his family, and his cat Bertie. He also enjoys riding to work on his electric bike.

Clerk
Sue Crook - Clerk

Sue joined Northampton Chambers in September 2023.

She brings 14 years of clerking experience with her which will assist Chambers as it grows and continues to flourish. Sue can deal with both diary and fees enquiries and enjoys the challenge of managing a diary and solving billing issues.

Sue enjoys spending time with her family and crafting in her spare time.

Practice Manager
Louise Eldridge - Practice Manager

Louise joined Northampton Chambers in 2020 with a proven track record in legal practice management. She has a keen eye for organisation, a passion for efficient operations, a deep understanding of the legal landscape and plays a pivotal role in driving the success of Northampton Chambers.

At the heart of Northampton Chambers is a successful cohesive team. Louise excels in fostering an atmosphere of teamwork, encouraging knowledge sharing and promoting professional growth. Her leadership style is marked by approachability, mentorship and a genuine enthusiasm for seeing others succeed.

Outside of work Louise enjoys spending time with family and friends and her two dogs.
