Northampton Chambers is pleased to announce a novel new initiative this month with the arrival of ‘Mango March’ where for every new case we’re instructed on during March we will donate a mango tree to the ‘One Step at a Time’ charity in Uganda. The mango trees provide a regular and sustainable source of food for children in remote villages and follows the charity’s mantra of helping the children and their carers to help themselves. Chambers’ Business Development Manager Andrew Kendrick explained the motives behind the move, “It’s a chance for us add extra support to a charity that desperately needs it, purely by the nature of our business. We always welcome new instructions from our clients and it’s great to be able to provide a tangible benefit that genuinely helps children as a direct result of companies sending work our way, so please give us your consideration when a case lands on your desk – you could be helping someone more than you realise!”

‘One Step at a Time’ is a Northamptonshire based charity working tirelessly in remote Ugandan villages to provide food, shelter, care and education for young children and their carers. All the staff are volunteers and they rely exclusively on fundraising and donations to carry out their fantastic work. You can find out more at www.one-step-at-a-time.org.uk

All the donations will come directly from Northampton Chambers and not from the client or case fee.
