Background

Prior to pupillage at Northampton Chambers, Francesca worked in a legal 500 private family law team in Northampton and for a busy local authority in the care team. This allowed Francesca to gain in-depth knowledge of private and public family law, particularly financial remedy, private children, TOLATA, s.31 work and DoLS. Francesca played a crucial role in assisting the local authority with the progression of complex children’s cases, which gave her experience in demanding case management under extreme pressure.

Francesca’s professional background spreads beyond the legal sphere, including working in pensions and being a school governor. This has allowed Francesca to quickly build rapport with clients from all backgrounds, identify their needs and provide exceptional client care. Having worked with a wide-cross section of society in both employment and other endeavours, Francesca has strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.

Francesca was awarded The University of Law Career Changer Scholarship prior to starting the BPC. Francesca was awarded the Max Engle Scholarship from The University of Northampton at the end of her final year.

Interests Francesca enjoys spending her free time with her husband and children hiking and bouldering in the peak district. When Francesca is not outdoors, she enjoys singing and going to the theatre.
