Since completing pupillage with the Head of Chambers, Miss Maria Savvides, Robert has developed a broad practice including Crime, Family (both Private, Public and Ancillary Relief) and Civil in particular Personal Injury.

Crime: Both Prosecution and Defence in the Magistrates' and Crown Courts. Notable recent cases include fatal careless driving, indecent assault, all levels of violence and child cruelty. In 2005 was junior Prosecuting Counsel in a large multi-Defendant conspiracy case, and prosecuting Counsel in a 2.5 million pound arson case against youth offenders (involving complex issues of recklessness, R v G&R, and fitness to plead). Appeared in the Court of Appeal on several occassions, and Advised on 2 successful Attorney-General's references of unduly lenient sentences.

Family: Care proceedings, as well as all relevant applications in Children Act matters and injunctions/committals. In particular has been involved on either side in a number of removal from jurisdiction applications. Ancillary relief applications, including those involving foreign assets.

Civil: A wide range of claims for both Claimant and Defendant, including fast track trials and Advices and Pleadings. A notable case in 2005 was acting for Claimant in an action against the Police for Malicious Prosecution and harassment. Has extensive experience in Personal Injury work as a Litigation Manager prior to being called to the Bar.
